Now that fall is in full swing, I have put together an inspired home entry scheme. Each piece is classic and chic, the neutral taupe and black colour palette will always be in style. I started with my favourite entry door design, featuring a circular motif in the center of each door where a centered door knob is located. I love an entry door painted in Benjamin Moore Black 2132-10 in a high gloss finish to add that extra touch of drama. Next I chose black iron and frosted glass Murray Feiss light sconces to balance each side of the door frame. Below the sconces are two steel planters with ring pulls that mimic the circular designed doors with simple greenery and a classic ‘welcome’ mat.
For a simple and understated fall touch, I would add decorative wreaths to each door, featuring faux-berries in warm orange and red colours – hang these with a fall coloured thick ribbon. Next, I came across an image on Pinterest of these stacked pumpkins with ‘trick or treat’ painted in a great font. This combination would create a memorable first impression to your home!
Suggested Benjamin Moore exterior colours: Baja Dunes 997, Black 2132-10 & Seapearl OC-19. Inspired by the new 2013 BM Color Trends.
