NATURE’S RAW ELEMENTS
Living in British Columbia, we are fortunate to have nature at our doorstep. We have it all with mountains, ocean and fresh water lakes. The environment and its history is important to most as we fight to preserve our wildlife, ocean life and old growth forests. So it’s natural that we want to bring in nature’s elements into our homes. There is a definite raw Industrial design trend bringing natural elements of wood, concrete, metal and stone into our homes. And the respect of its history is seen with refurbished, recycled, old, rusted & weathered items on the rise.
The warmth of wood combined with the raw elements of metal, concrete and even recycled tire tubes brings us comfort and a sense of putting back into the environment by purchasing items that are deemed refurbished or recycled.
With this trend we have seen a rise of warm grays, most found in the Brown tones of Benjamin Moore’s colour palette which has created the new rage of “greige”. Our Benjamin Moore favourites to create this warm look are:
Silver Fox 2108-50, Ashley Gray HC-87, Pashmina AF-100, Thunder AF-685 + Arctic Seal CSP-15
