Bringing the Outdoors In

With fall just around the corner, it is a great time to rejuvenate or redecorate your home. With kids back to school, temperatures getting colder, we are spending more time indoors and so what better time to bring a bit of the outside, inside your homes. Traditionally fall brings out the reds, oranges and golds into our palette, but there is other ways even in a modern or contemporary setting, to bring nature inside your home.

Branches are my inspiration, but not in the literal sense. While there are some amazing DIY’s on Pinterest to bring real branches into your décor, there are some stunning pieces in home décor to introduce the feeling of the outside branches without literally chopping them down. Whether you are looking for a large statement or smaller items to bring branches inside, there are many choices today with furniture, wall art or smaller décor items. These are just a few of my favourites…

To pop these décor accents, try my favourite Benjamin Moore wall colours CSP-25 Wool Peacoat, 2112-40 Pewter and Ashley Gray HC-87.

This rich shade of red is a great colour to accent in any room with home decor, paint or furniture. Merlot Red is a great colour to decorate your home for fall and carry through the winter festivities.
